FAQ

Check in: 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Check-out: 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.  

Breakfast: included. Persons who do not stay in the hotel cannot have breakfast in the hotel. 

Baby cot: Baby cots need to be booked in advance at the time of the reservation. You always have to book a family room (max. capacity 2 adults and 2 children, baby's included), regardless their age. The baby cot is then included in the rate of the room. You may not bring your own baby cot. Maximum age: 3 years.  

Children: Children of all ages are welcome. We ask the parents not to bring buggies nor beach toys inside the hotel. We ask the children to maintain the serenity in the hotel. Please note that the maximum capacity of each room is mentioned in the room description. It is not permitted to stay in the rooms with more than the maximum capacity. This goes for both adult guests and children. The people that exceed the capacity cannot be accommodated and the late cancellation costs will be applied. 

Bed type: Queen -and kingsize beds. Twin beds only on request and only available in the junior suites and in the superior rooms. 

Extra bed: It is not possible to add extra beds in the rooms. 

Accepted payment cards: Visa, Euro/MasterCard, Maestro, V PAY, Bancontact. The hotel reserves the right to make a pre-authorization on your credit card before arrival date.

Pets: Pets are not allowed in the hotel. Exception: guide dog (please contact the hotel before your reservation).

Disabled persons: Please take into account that the hotel is technically not equipped for wheelchairs or rollators. Because of this reason the upper floors and the rooms of the hotel are not accessible for wheelchairs nor for rollators.

Parking: Parking (upon availability) at eur 25 / eur 30 per day. Reservation is required. We are not liable for damages nor for loss on/from parked vehicles, nor from their contents.  

Cycle shed: The cycle shed is free of charge. Reservation is required. We are not liable for damages nor for loss on/from parked cycles, nor from their contents. 

Please note, it's prohibited to charge the battery of electric vehicles in any guest rooms due to fire hazards.

Special requests: Special requests are subject to availability and may possibly cause extra costs. If the hotel cannot comply to the special requests, this cannot be a reason to a cancellation without costs or a refusal of the room booked. 

Smokefree hotel: Houd Please keep in mind that the entire hotel is a smokefree zone. Extra cleaning costs of eur 200 may be applied in case of infringement.

Terms and Conditions

Cancellation: You can cancel your reservation for free till 21 days before arrival date. You will be charged the full price of your reservation if you cancel in the 21 days before arrival. 

The hotel can, in case of exceptional circumstances, cancel your reservation for free at any time. The hotel will inform the guest about an alternative accomodation. 

The hotel has the possibility to accept or refuse a reservation request. The hotel will do so on its own judgement and cannot be held responsible for its judgement.

No Show: If you do not check-in before 9 p.m. the day of arrival of your reservation, you will be charged the full price of your reservation. It will also not be possible anymore to check-in for that reservation.

Prepayment: 21 days before your arrival date the full price of your reservation can be charged on your credit card.

Payment: All notes or invoices are paid the latest on the day of departure of the customer unless otherwise stipulated. A time-price differential charge equal to 15 % per year with a minimum of eur 150, will be charged on all balances that are not paid in full by the date indicated on the invoice. All disputes are governed by Belgian law and only the Courts of Veurne shall have jurisdiction.

Damage: The customer is liable with respect to the hotel for all damages caused by him or the people accompanying him or the people under his care, to the buildings of the hotel or to the internal and external appurtenances, to the hotel’s furnishings and to its staff or to third parties. If the customer causes damage to movable or immovable property of te hotel, he shall compensate the damage immediately and at least before his departure, at the hotel's first request. The hotel cannot be held liable for any accidents or theft that may occur in the hotelroom or the other rooms of the hotel. 

Personal items left at the hotel: The guest accepts that the Royal Hotel has no responsibility for the guest's items left behind at the hotel after check-out. The Royal Hotel does not send the guest's personal items left behind at the hotel. The customer can pick up them during a month following his departure from the hotel, after written request to the hotel and written confirmation from the hotel. After that month, the objects are given to a charity.

Website: The hotel will do reasonable efforts to provide correct and up-to-date information on its website. However, the hotel cannot be held responsible for any form of direct, indirect or occasional loss or disadvantage that is the result of using this website or that is the result of not being able to use this website. The hotel cannot be held responsible for the contents of this website nor for possibly incorrect information on this website. Reproduction and distribution of the hotel's website and its contents for commercial purposes is forbidden. However we do encourage to mention the website and to link to the website.
